Course Description: This course covers the requirements and steps Building Inspectors perform during footing, foundation and slab inspections as required in the Florida Building Code and the approved set of plans.  

Course Learning Objectives
Upon completion of the course, participants shall be able to:

• Understand and implement the steps required to do a proper footing, foundation or slab inspection
• Recognize the different termite protection systems and requirements for inspections
• Describe the requirements for inspecting reinforcement in slabs and foundations
• Read plans and inspect installation in accordance with approved plans
• Explain the inspection requirements to contractors and builders
