Developers Council-Resolving Stormwater Infrastructure Inconsistencies

Over the past several years, exponential growth coupled with material supply & workforce shortages have produced some of the most challenging conditions the building industry has ever experienced. Creative ideas and innovative solutions are needed to overcome these challenges. When it comes to materials, owners need options and deserve a choice. This presentation will discuss inconsistencies faced in Central Florida that either discourage or prevent FDOT approved drainage materials such as Class II Polypropylene pipe from being installed. We will then share how these hurdles have been overcome in other Florida markets and the powerful impact of a collective “ask” from the building industry.

The Developers Council is a group of committed developers, builders and associate members who meet monthly to discuss prominent issues and topics relating to the residential construction industry. Our programs include an opportunity to network, enjoy a drink, and engage in conversation with a professional panel on issues relating to residential building.
